Kamna Naik & Aruksha Naik & Nrityanjali Kala Academy

The Government of Madhya Pradesh has accredited and approved the Nrityanjali Kala Academy, which is affiliated with Indira Kala Sangeet University, Khairagarh, as a recognized examination center for Bharatnatyam, singing, and tabla (instrumentation). In 2013, Shalabh Naik and Kamna Naik founded the institution, which began with ten students. Over a hundred students currently attend the academy, where they receive education in the arts and sit for exams annually. The youth of Nrityanjali Kala Academy are expected to have enormous potential in both their artistic and educational endeavors. Bharatnatyam is now a way of life that raises consciousness. Teaching Bharatanatyam as a performing art holistically to work in a mainstream setting for both soloists and group performing arts, and to cultivate compassionate and perceptive citizens in the process. It's a quest where techniques, fields of study, and other elements are blended into a single artistic creation which is intended to offer a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach. The Academy hosts workshops each year that draw in excess of fifty people. More students learn from excellent gurus about this subject. The workshop's goals to uncover the child's latent talent in the workshop and get kids over their stage fright to grow. The Academy commemorated International Dance Deco this year as Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Smt. Kamna Naik is a renowned Bharatnatyam dancer from a business family. She received rigorous training under Guru Nrityashiromani Narsappa Alva for 15 years in Kerala Kalamandapam style. She later studied at Kalapadma Academy of Bharatnatyam and completed her diploma from Indira Kala Sangeet Vikwavidyalay. Naik has organized Jabalpur's first All India Classical and Folk Dance Competition and started Guru Shankar Hombal Alankara Samman for Artists. She has trained over 100 students and is currently the Director of NRITYANJALI Kala Academy. She has directed many Nritya Natikas (Dance Drama): JANANI, KRISHNA CHARITRAM, SEETA SWAYAMWAR, ARDHANAREESWARAR, MAYUR and also directed Indian folk dances like Kalbeliya, Charri, Choudhary, Kolattam. She took her dance troupes in many places like Mumbai, Orissa, Bhilai, Ujjain, Delhi, Lucknow, Agra, Pune, Bhopal, Banaras. Kamna Naik has performed throughout India and abroad.Being a gold medalist in Sangeet Vibhakar, she has choreographed in many films, Aruksha Naik, belongs from a business family, began her Bharatnatyam training at the age of 4 under the guidance of her mother and mentor, Mrs. Kamna Naik. She later switched to Kathak and completed her diploma in Bharatnatyam in 2013 from INDIRA KALA SANGEET VISHWAVIDYALA (Khairagarh). She has also studied contemporary dance form from Piyush Dance Academy Mumbai and folk dances. She has participated in numerous Nritya Natikas and received awards. She has attended workshops with renowned gurus and is currently learning Nattuvangam under Tanjore Ramamurthy Kesavan. In 2023, she became a Doorarshan Grade B Grade Bhartanatyam artist.
